Out and about, with my kids, on a walk, or texting my husband a story I "have to tell [him] right now."

Sharing the messy parts of life. Talking it out. Real conversations. Your story might help someone else. A hard moment is not a hard day. Chasing sunshine...always :)

I BELIEVE IN:

I spent a long time staying quiet. Editing myself. Shrinking the stories down so they'd be easier to swallow.

Turns out, silence doesn't make things smaller, but it does makes you feel more alone.

When I finally said the things out loud, people didn't flinch. And I thought, "why the heck did I carry that for so long?"

The things other people did to me? Not my fault. Not my shame to carry.

And the stuff I did? Yeah, some of it was dumb. I was young. I lived a little. I learned a lot.

I love the beach, tacos, watermelon, sunshine, and conversations that skip the small talk and go straight to the good stuff.
